Actors carrying torches in the Olympics? pfft..Next thing you know they’ll have Nobel Prize winners carrying the torch for the Hunger Games.

Oh my God! First of all, when David carried the torch, he was together with Rose, not Donna, who he hadn’t even met yet. Second, the night The Doctor said goodbye to Donna after wiping her memory, she looked him into the eyes, and she didn’t burn up. Third, we all know Donna. She always miss the big events, so there’s a pretty good chance she will miss the torch run as well, and don’t watch it all. Even if she had, she wouldn’t remember him. So go David!

Unless it was just another thing Donna Noble missed.

wait no, the episode should be about 11 distracting Donna from watching the TV during the Olympics. She would be alright because she wouldn’t recognize his face, right??

Technically, 10 lit the torch before he met Donna, hopefully she wasn’t paying attention to the olympics anyway. Maybe they should do a mini episode of Matt Smith stealing the torch from David Tennant for Donna’s sake! :)

Sarcasm, I expect? Because that was a joke on DWC. He’s really quite good at it. :)

“Matt? In the Olympics? What’s his event?” “Running. An awful lot of running.”

I love Tennant, but having carried a replica torch once in a fictional universe doesn’t really make him ‘right’ for the role. Certainly not in the eyes of the committees who decide these things. Matt has the requisite sporting background (a past life as a semi-pro footballer). Plus he’s so lovely and enthusiastic and humble about the whole thing. Why should you grudge him that chance?

‘I thought I’d just be, sort of, carrying it around…waving to the ducks!’ Hahahahaa

I really like Matt Smith, but David Tennant is the only right person to carry the torch. I don’t want Matt Smith to do it, at all.
